He scored his first competitive goal for Real Madrid in the Champions League, on 18 October 2011 against Olympique Lyonnais.

Khedira has Appeared 30 times in Several German youth national teams, he captained the side during the European Under-21 Championship 2009, the which Germany has won in the final against England 4-0. Khedira made his debut for the senior national squad on 5 September 2009 in a friendly match against South Africa.
