On June 1, 2009, Quagliarella his hometown club moved to Napoli for a transfer fee of € 18 million, where he signed a five year deal. At Naples, he was partnered with attacking midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik , and managed to score 11 goals in Serie A Napoli to help qualify for the 2010-11 UEFA Europa League with a 6th place finish in the league.
